The Character

Character's Name: Amos Micheal Diggory
Character's Gender: Male
Character's Appearance: Amos is about 5'11 or so, with blond hair, that varies with brown highlights and has a tendency to fall into his eyes quite a lot. His build one of a rather masculine hard worker, which mainly comes from his time play Quidditch, but is not overly so. He has a wonderful smile, that reaches his eyes. He has a tendecy to have some facial hair, but is good about keeping it tidy. (PB: dominic monaghan)

Character's History: Amos Diggory was born on May 8th, 1960 to parents Joanne and Thomas Diggory. He is the oldest of his family. He has a younger sister, Maribeth, who is a third year, and is rather protective of her when it comes to, well everything, boys in particularly. His relationship with his parents is better than most teens, his hard working tendencies, and protectiveness of his sister, and all around likeablity has most to do with it. His family is a wealthy, upper middle class family who worked for their money rather than inherited it as many wizarding families did. They live in a nice home in Leeds near where his father, a general contractor for Wizarding Residential and Commercial developments, works.

Amos is a very hard worker and a talented seeker for the Hufflepuff quidditch team. He was a Hufflepuff prefect, and was made one in his fifth year. He takes his job very seriously – some would argue that he takes it too seriously, but those are usually thought by those doing something seriously wrong. He does, however allow himself to have fun with his friends and slack off from time to time as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.

His favorite quidditch team is the Ireland National Team, and he avidly supports them, sometimes going to games during the summers with his friends or his sister. He’s currently in his 6th year at Hogwarts.

Character's Personality: He’s very popular in his own house, Hufflepuff. He works hard, does well in school, and is very proud of it but not overly so. He is liked becuase he is down to earth and friendly, and non-assuming, is book smart, but sometimes his brain goes to fast than his mouth does and makes him look rather dumb.

He likes to play around with his friends, playing jokes, not nearly as large in scale as the mauraders however. He dates occasionally, but is a bit slow on the up take when it comes to girls, and is usually a bit awkward around a girl he likes. He plays seeker on the Hufflepuff team, and has very keen eyesight. The keeper’s a new recruit, and needs some serious work on his goal blocking, which Amos will tell anyone who insults his team around him. Despite his uptightness about school, he’s very jovial and friendly most of the time, having some friends in most houses. He gets very harried around test times, mostly because he gets very down on himself when he misses a question he thinks he could have found in the book if he’d only studied a little bit harder. He also has a rather competitive streak in him, which can easily take over his personality.

Amos loves his family, and fully intends on having one of his own someday, though not until he’s got a successful career in the making. His current aspiration is to either become a professional quidditch player or some sort of successful Bureaucrat.
